Cosmetic Pigments is a family owned business. Owners (brother and sister) Rebecca Midkiff and Michael Midkiff are both Entrepreneurs with years of experience as small business owners.
Michael is the owner of Designers Craft an antique store in Tucson, Arizona that specializes in furniture and architectural elements. Michael travels in Asia, India and the USA seeking items that he sells throughout North America and parts of Euorpe. Born in Kealakekua, Hawaii he began his world travels as a high school student attending Woodstock School in India's Himalayan foothills.
Michael also has a broad background working in research astronomy for a number university, private and government institutions as a large telescope construction supervisor and observatory manager.
Rebecca (Becky) Midkiff is currently the owner of DIY Cosmetics LLC in Tucson, Arizona. DIY Cosmetics has been in operation since 2006 which primarily supplies makeup packaging. Previously Rebecca started and owned a company in New Zealand, Aromatics & More Ltd. which was sold and renamed.
Rebecca was born on the island of Molokai in Hawaii and has also enjoyed, and still enjoys world travel about 10 weeks out of the year.
Prior to becoming a small business owner Rebecca worked at University of Arizona Medical Center in the Special Procedures Laboratory and Cardiac Catheter Lab. When she left her position with UMC she traveled as a Consultant for two years working for GE Medical Systems. Rebecca subsequently had several managerial positions as Manager of the Internal Medicine Department at the now closed Tucson General Hospital, Duty Manager at National Women’s Hospital in New Zealand, and Project Manager for Waitemata Health in New Zealand.
Rebecca has always had a love of gardening, herbal medicine, and making her own face and body care products. She has received her Diploma in Aromatherapy in 1999 but has never professionally practiced in this field. She also an alumni of the University of Arizona and Pima Community College.
